The ACE FrameWorks Plus suite of FPL’s include 41 utilities in the categories: Steel utilities, Gusset Plate Utilities, Foundation utilities and General utilities. All utilities support both English and Metric units. The utilities are FPL/MDL applications which run on top of Intergraph's FrameWorks which runs on top of Bentley's MicroStation. Utilities (6 sets) are available for FWP versions 3.1.x.x/3.2.x.x, 7.00.00.00 thru 7.00.00.16, 7.00.00.19 & later, 7.1.x.x/7.2.x.x/7.3.x.x, FWP 8.0.x.x, FWP 9.0.x.x and FWP 10.0.x.x. Utilities for FWP 3.1/3.2 & FWP 7.0 are compatible with MicroStation versions J, SE or 95. Utilities for FWP 7.1/7.2/7.3, FWP 8.0.x.x, FWP 9.0.x.x and FWP 10.0.x.x are compatible with MicroStation J.
The May 1, 2010 (R12110) Software Release includes a new set of utilities for FWP 10.0.x.x. In addition fourteen (4) existing utilities received enchancements and/or bug fixes. In addition all 40 utilities were revised to allow the ACE_xxx.log file to be placed using the environment variable ACE_LOG_PATH.
The ACE FrameWorks Utilities includes 6 gusset plate utilities. Two for vertical bracing, two for horizontal bracing, one for Fixed End Beams and one for offset information/manipulation. The two vertical gusset plate utilities are: the (interactive) Gusset Plates for VBrace and the Automated Gusset Plates for VB. The automated gusset plate application has placed over 750 gusset plates in less than 45 seconds in demos. This automated gusset plate utilities make early gussset plate interference detection both painless and affordable.
